10 page report giving factual data about conditions of employment in Afghan brick kilns, drawing attention to the position of women and children in the system, and making some recommendations. Many features of the Afghan system are common to India. A significant difference is that the possibility for women and girls above puberty to work outside the home is very restricted. Girls below puberty may work more and harder to compensate.
